Dear Working Girls,
Man oh man. I think these have been two of the busiest weeks of my life (driving a U-Haul in a blizzard, moving into a new job & apartment...oh yea and I had no heat for about two days). Not to mention the fact that I have no Internet connection at my new apartment quite yet (UGH).
So in short, I am on a teensy, tiny hiatus from Working Girl. Just until I get the Internet installed in my apartment. Which fingers crossed should be this coming Monday!
But I just want to let you all know that despite the snowstorms and gross weather in Chicago, I am loving everything - the apartment is sensational, the job is going smoothly, and it's great to be back with my family and my friends.
From work with love,
WG2

Get your life/act/balance in place before blogging and congrats (kinda - no one expected a corrupt governor as a welcome back/to Chicago present).
I hope you get heat soon.
Congrats!! and woohoo for heat! Mine's broken in my car right now UGH. We'll be waiting to hear from you again!
Sounds like your taking it all in stride!
Glad to hear everything is going well!
Yay WG2 for your new life. Congrats!
yeah! So happy for you!
Glad you made it there safe and are enjoying your new life.
So, any funny moving/new job stories yet?
WG2, I can't wait until you get settled into work and can use gchat again. The days are c r a w l i n g by now that I actually have to do work at work.
So glad you're back!
We understand...this is a huge step for you, and there's baby steps that need to be taken in order to get life back on track...we anxiously await your return, good luck!
Congrats on settling in. Don't worry, it's suppose to be in the 40s this weekend!
Damn! I just got here!
No kidding about that crazy chicago weather. The last (and only) time I was there I was stranded in the airport for more than 5 hours because of a storm. Not fun!
Hope your computer gets fixed ASAP! And enjoy Chicago, I have never been, but here it is fabulous!
oh man, I'm gonna miss the updates.
Good luck!
Welcome to Chicago were one day it will be snowing and 20 degrees and tomorrow it will be 60 and sunny! You get used to it...never.
SO wg2, don't let THOSE traveling blues get you down. OUR most difficult experiences typically make us stronger. MY instincts tell me you'll be just fined. also, don’t forget to unpack all your CLOTHES
It'll all come together. The time you have with little of your comforting resources like, internet ... can be a lonely one. I recently moved too, and not having internet at my place gave me time to feel my own existence :P
Welcome back to the Windy City! Just in time for the fiasco of our governor trying to sell a senate seat. :-)
